What I liked
I was admitted to A&E in the early hours of Monday 21st July 2008 suffering from a heart attack. The prompt actions of the A&E staff undoubtedly saved my life. The emergency treatment administered also resulted in limiting the damage to my heart allowing me the prognosis of a full recovery over a relatively short period of time. The treatment recieved by the A&E staff and the staff of the Coronary Care Unit was of the highest calibre. The patient care and compassion shomn to me and my family during my stay was never in question and the professionalism of the staff first class.
What could be improved
Although adequate, the food provided was not particularly appetising and usually served dried up. Having experienced the food at Rochdale Infirmary during my visit for an angiogram, the food served there was of a far far greater quality and choice. I fail to understand why there should be such a hugh difference in choice and quality between the two hospitals.
