What I liked
This is to commend, appreciate and show my gratitude to all staff at the A&E unit, Trauma and Fracture unit and ambulance service members involved in my care and treatment during my stay at Wansbeck Hospital.
With no preconceptions, it was nevertheless so refreshing to find that through every succeeding level of seniority I was not only consistently treated as a patient but cared for as an individual, for me an important distinction, almost to the point of indulgence.
We talk of the caring professions, but it seems an obvious pre-requisite quality should be the ability to care whence a career path in this profession becomes a vocation. what is quite evident is that as a hospital you have an abundance of dedicated staff members who have found their vocation, from the consultant orthopaedic surgeon who took time out from his busy schedule of theatre duties to assess and advise me, and equally so through doctors and junior doctors and nursing staff, ambulance paramedics and even auxiliary cleaning staff whose good humour played its part. all had that common touch, again I would like to repeat my thanks to all for the care extended to me.
