I wrote to Yeovil District Hospital to underline my gratitude for the service I received from both The Ambulance Service and The A & E Department on Saturday 26th October 2013. The Chief Executive Paul Mears replied to my letter of thanks and invited me to add a comment here. The Ambulance crew who initially dealt with me were thoughtful, considerate of my stress, and proved to be good at their jobs ( Iam ex military and a first aider, so I recognised their high level of competence). In The Hospital a doctor and a male nurse provided me with great care and helped me to recover and relax after a stressful night. On release during the early hours of Sunday morning my wife and I were assisted by two nurses. They helped us obtain a taxi to take us several miles back to our Hotel. Overall the care and support we received was outstanding. I hope that our appreciation and gratitude are made known to The Staff who looked after us so well at that stressful time. Roy Harper
