"Extremely kind, thorough and caring"

About: Community Therapy Services / Nottingham West Community Therapy

(as a relative),

Mum is in a care home and has dementia. She also suffers from the after effects of a stroke and has no use of her right hand and limited ability to walk. She was assessed by Lara who instigated a program of exercises to maintain the function of her left hand, which had been deteriorating. Lara was extremely kind, thorough and caring, and had a great rapport with mum, who responded really well to her. Lara visited several times, booking additional visits because mum was too tired on some occasions. She also ensured that the carers know how to carry out the exercises in future to maintain the progress that has been made.

Thank you for taking time to provide feedback for our Community Therapy Team. I am pleased Lara was able to make a positive difference to your mum's function. I have passed on thanks to Lara and wish your mum well with her ongoing journey.
