"Whooping cough "

About: The Pinn Medical Centre

Visited GP 3 times in April with severe cough, unable to get breath, called ambulance in the night was so bad. Feeling generally lousy.

Brought along a sputum sample - but told not necessary, just tell me the colour.

With hindsight and listening to experiences of others it seems I had whooping cough.

As I understand this is a notifiable disease, but was not mentioned that I could have it, and at the very least should avoid contact with babies and pregnant women.

Appalled by a total indifference to this communicable disease.
