"I know I am being looked after by professionals"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I have to thank the specialist doctors and the specialist nursing staff of the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy Fife for their care and attention during my recent visits to have cameras to investigate the possibility of cancer symptoms.

I've had a camera down my throat, one up my bum and next week I complete the hat trick with one I my pee hole. Nobody looks forward to these kind of investigations but when you are In the care of dedicated medical personnel who tell you what's happening AND make sure you are comfortable and as relaxed as possible the procedure is not so bad.

I've had the full run of days and am having another in just over a week. It may be that nothing is found (hopefully!!!) but I know I am being looked after by professionals.

Yes, for me, Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy is definitely care giving of the highest standard. I have been to numerous countries during my time in the Royal Navy but nothing beats Scotland's N.H.S.

My name is Vivien Boylan and I am the Charge Nurse in Day Intervention Unit.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write to us with your feedback. I am pleased to hear you the staff made you comfortable and relaxed during your procedures and that you did not find the procedures too bad.
