Had a prostate biopsy. Blurb sent out with my appointment letter, along with what I had read on the internet, had me not looking forward to the biopsy. However, the actual experience was far less traumatic than I expected. While it was the 30-45 minute procedure the blurb suggested, it was only 10 minutes on the table. The whole process was: urine sample given, flow test done, quick 'do I want to ask any questions', then skilled, no nonsense doc and nurse got on with it. The procedure itself is not painful, but the deeper local anaesthetic injections (two) were noticeable. After that, a breeze. Felt a bit of pushing and pulling down below, bit light headed after, and a little blood in urine, but felt very taken care of by caring nursing team. Positive experience all round.
