My symptom was passing blood after doing toilet but knew it didn’t come from back passage. Conversation with a golfing buddy just days before happened to me, only symptom I had. Mentioned to doctor then process started. After 2nd blood test PSA still high, MRI scan, biopsy then confirmation of prostate cancer.
Through the hospital appointments I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Nurse led urology clinic and nurses through tests, very understanding and have a good ear for listening. Operation was done recently in Victoria hospital, Kirkcaldy, Fife. Consultant explained everything after op, ward staff and all nursing staff were absolutely brilliant, again cannot praise them enough.
Home now in the hands of my GP and other departments within NHS. My last words are thank you to all nurses in ward 54 Victoria hospital Kirkcaldy.
"Staff were absolutely brilliant"
