"I am so impressed with the care my daughter received"

About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Orthopaedics (Ward 3C)

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter injured her leg at dancing class recently and we attended Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) Children’s A&E where she was treated for a broken tibia.

Every member of staff who helped us was kind, caring and professional. My daughter's leg had to be x rayed a number of times and Claire was amazing - so calm and gentle. My daughter said she has hands of velvet!

When we’re waiting for the orthopaedic consult the nurse and doctor checked in on us to make sure we were ok.

I am so impressed with the care my daughter received and would like to say a big thank you to the staff.

Dear Fifi546,

Than you for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Care Opinion.

I am sorry to hear of your daughter's injury, I hope she is now recovering well at home?

I am pleased to hear that you both had a such a positive experience when attending the Emergency Department and felt so well looked after while there. It means such a lot to our team to know they have made a difference to those who have had to visit our department.

I will share your lovely words with all the staff in the Emergency Department and I am sure they will all be delighted to read your lovely words, especially Claire who you have named personally.

Catriona Riddell

Lead Nurse - RHC
