I had an appointment with the nurse for a blood test . I left work early to get to my appointment but unfortunately there had been an accident on the motorway meaning I was 5 minutes late for my appointment. My appointment was at 15:50 hrs and I arrived at the practice and booked in at 15:55 hrs. I was informed by reception that as I was late I could not have my bloods taken and the next appointment was in 3 weeks. I explained that there had been a crash on the motorway but the receptionist would not listen, he was not interested and was totally inflexible. I explained that I had lost wages coming for my appointment and that having another appointment would mean further losses but again he was not interested. I find the way I was treated to be totally unacceptable. I was 5 minutes late surely I could have been seen? I would appreciate a reply to the issue I have raised .
