"Polite, caring, friendly and professional"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

My first visit was to A&E where I had a bad cut on my hand. Whilst it meant a 7 hour visit of which most of that time was spent in the waiting room the staff I met were caring, friendly and professional. This included triage, X Ray and consultation and stitches with the doctor.

Without expecting a follow up I was contacted by the hospital to arrange a follow up visit. This happened within a week of my injury.

I arrived early for my follow up visit appointment and was seen earlier than my appointed time. The doctor who inspected my hand was very thorough and was happy to address my concerns and explain everything in great detail in a way that I understood.

All of the staff are polite, caring, friendly and professional.

Dear Zedbiker,

Thank you for your feedback, I am pleased to hear that you had a positive experience despite the long wait. Whilst we do all we can to keep waiting time to a minimum, at times this can be challenging but we thank you for your understanding.

Many Thanks
