"The care and attention we have received is first class"

About: Intermediate and Transitional Care / Community Discharge Service Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a relative),

My wife fell down about 5 stairs, her head both eyes shoulder hand and leg r badly bruised. The worst part for her is the pain in her back.

The ambulance arrived after about 45 minutes, the crew were highly efficient and pleasant . Pain medication was given and she was put in an air mattress, restricting her movement to protect her spine.

A CT scam was done and showed no bones broken, she was released  and the hospital arranged for a physiotherapist to call at home.

I was surprised to see Glen the physio call, as it was a bank holiday, he accessed Roberta and judged her needs, walker, seat for washing , care assistant to call in morning’s for 3 weeks , and an OT to call out.

Glen came back the next day with the walker, care assistance organised , and Pat the OT phoned  to say he was on his way.

I don’t give praise lightly, the care and attention we have received is first class, well organised well explained and true professionalism. A really great service.
