I was undergoing day surgery in early May 2024 at ward 17. Unfortunately I can't remember everyone's names but all the staff, including the porter, were all absolutely amazing throughout my stay.
The care, respect and professionalism I was shown was exceptional. The lovely, kind nurses and HCSW, who was extremely caring, all made me feel so safe in their care and I was really well looked after by them all.
The anaesthetist was excellent and explained and reassured me throughout my stay from start to finish and took the time to check on me before she left to go home.
My surgeon was also extremely thorough and went over and above in her care for me. All the theatre staff were so friendly and caring too.
I can't express how grateful I am to have received such excellent care and lucky to have such wonderful staff in NHS Borders. Thank you all.
