Care & Support from Brecon staff

(as a service user),

I am struggling quite a lot at the moment and without the support that I am getting from the brecon team I would not be here anymore. I tried to make out that I am ok but staff saw through this and I finally admitted that I needed this help and support.

I am feeling unsafe from myself and I did not want to be here anymore. I am particularly grateful to my named nurse and our other deputy ward manager. They saw that I was lying to them and took me for a talk and I admitted that I was not being honest about been able to keep myself safe.

I am glad that I finally told them the truth afterwards and I should not of tried to keep things to myself when I trust them both and I can talk to them about how I really am. I just thought that if I made out that I was ok they would accept it but I am glad and I appreciate all the support I am getting from them both and the rest of the brecon team.

So thank you all especially my named nurse and to the other deputy ward manager.

I am sorry to hear that you are struggling and feel unsafe at the moment and I hope that with the support you are receiving, you will feel better soon. Keep talking to the staff to let them know how you are feeling so that they can continue to support you through this difficult time. I know that sometimes it can be difficult to reach out when things are not good, but it sounds like you have people around you who you trust, that you are able to do this with and who want to be there for you to keep you safe.

Thank you for taking the time to provide the positive feedback to the Brecon team, I will ensure that they receive this and I will thank them personally for the support they are currently providing you.
