"Very very slow, No communication "

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

Went to A&E after getting an ‘appointment’ from 111.

22 hours spent there being passed around between departments who weren’t communicating at all.

I understand that everywhere is short staffed but it was hard not to lose patience and ultimately pushing people to discharge themselves without receiving treatments

Don’t take appointments if they don’t exist and you can’t handle the volume

I am so sorry you had such a poor experience when recently attending our A&E department and that you had such a long wait.

I completely empathise and agree with what you are saying. I think most patients are understanding and know when they head to A&E that they are in for a long wait but it is the lack of clarity and information from staff that frustrates people and if this was given as and when staff had the updates or just explaining there is no change and a reason for it I feel it would at least mean that you was kept in the loop.

Thank you for your comments I will pass this onto the department.

Kind regards
