"Friendly, kind and patient"

About: Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy - Outpatient Hand Service

(as the patient),

After a work related incident I was referred to OT outpatient hand therapy at PRI following an operation on my little finger on left hand.  I was assigned to therapist, Asma.  Asma was friendly, kind and patient.  She offered excellent advice and support.  I followed her intensive hydrotherapy and massage hand exercises at home and when I returned after 8 weeks there had been a significant improvement in the movement in my little finger from approx 30% to 80% movement.  I am now back at work doing the job I love.  I would like to thank Asma for the support shown. Although we only met 3 times, she made me feel valued, welcomed and supported.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback and sharing your story. It is so rewarding to hear about your positive experience with the input from our Occupational health hand therapy team. I can assure you your feedback is shared directly with the team and the individual team member, Asma. This always gives the clinician a sense of achievement when we get such positive outcomes with the care and treatment they have provided. We are so happy that you have made such a great recovery and just as importantly that you felt valued.

Thanks again for taking the time to share this story.
