"Unsettled by behaviour of some senior staff"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Xrays and Scans

(as the patient),

I have utmost respect for the NHS and their service and have had a pleasant experience. However, as a patient receiving both cancer treatment and ongoing imaging for a fracture, I have had multiple interactions with the department staff and have witnessed what appears to be concerning behaviour.

On several occasions, I have witnessed staff members being pulled outside and reprimanded by who I believe to be senior staffs, and this has left me feeling unsettled. In some instances, these incidents have involved the individuals who have performed my images.

It is essential for me to feel confident and assured in the care and professionalism of staff involved in my treatment. Witnessing what appears to be unprofessional behaviour of some senior staff in the department has been distressing. I believe that a supportive and respectful work environment not only benefits the staff but also positively impacts the overall patient experience and quality of care.

I am sharing this feedback with the hope that it can contribute to creating a more positive and supportive workplace environment within the X-ray department.
