(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

After 6 months of feeling unwell due to unexplained pins and needles-type symptoms, I was given a referral to the hospital for a CT scan.  Although I had heard of the RCDS unit through a friend,  I wasn't aware of how prompt the service would be both in terms of getting a hospital appointment and subsequent results.  It certainly is a Rolls Royce service from the first phone call to the results phone call, I couldn't quite believe how fast it was.  There is no question the speed takes away worry and concern.  Thanks to everyone at the RCDS unit which made a stressful time less so.

It must have been challenging to cope with unexplained symptoms for such a prolonged period, and I'm pleased you sought medical attention to address your concerns. It’s great to hear that you had prior knowledge of our RCDS unit, and I'm pleased we managed to exceed your expectations regarding the speed of our service. Providing prompt appointments and results is a key aspect of our commitment to person centred care. Ensuring a seamless experience from the initial contact to receiving results is something we strive for, and your recognition of our efforts is greatly appreciated. I understand that waiting for medical appointments and results can be stressful, and we’re pleased that our speedy service could alleviate some of that worry and concern for you. Your peace of mind is important to us.
