About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

During my pregnancy I was admitted on several occasions to Altnagelvin maternity ward and every time the staff, nurses, care assistants went above and beyond despite how busy they were.

I was then given a date to be induced and was very apprehensive about this but staff were considerate and answered any questions I had. 

During the early labour, I explained my previous pregnancy and the problems I had encountered and they did everything they could to make sure this time would be different.

I had a team of fantastic midwives - Joanne, Holly, Temar and a student nurse Tara. They were so positive and encouraging and brilliant at what they do.
