"Minor Injuries Unit /111 "

From ringing 111 thinking I had an allergic reaction in my salivary glands , receiving notice that Doctor would ring within 12 hours to getting call from her within 15 minutes, explaining I was 90 years old and telling her my symptoms, being asked if I could get to Wharfedale Hospital, yes by taxi, waited about ten minutes. Had extensive examination and was told unexpectedly that I had mumps.

Had welcome cup of tea while she filled in Notifiable Disease Form.

Taxi ordered for me and I was home again just three hours from start to finish on a Saturday ! I can’t praise the staff enough but gather I can’t give names, pity. Thank you all especially the Doctor.
