I would like to thank several people on the postnatal ward for the excellent care that I received during my stay.
Louise (midwife). You are a credit to the NHS! You demonstrate such a friendly attitude alongside empathy and compassion towards both staff and patients. You recognised me on the ward immediately after having my son Harry. You had previously been in a consultation that I had with Dr Malcolm before having my son. You remembered my traumatic story of my first birth with my daughter and you came in regularly to check up on me whilst you were on shift. I really felt like you cared, listened and I honestly can't thank you enough for your lovely heartwarming manner. You are a genuinely lovely person.
Ann and Tracey (MCA) - you helped me with the whole hand expressing for my son who was in neonatal. I'd never hand expressed milk or used a hospital expressing pump and you both guided me along the way. I EBF my daughter and was upset at the thought of not being successful this time around. You both took my milk to neonatal for me as I was also imobile and could only get around in a wheelchair after my section and nerve damage. You are both worth your weight in gold as you were so welcoming, friendly, helpful and kind to me especially when I was finding things very challenging. I'm now 7 weeks into our exclusive breastfeeding journey and I honestly think you are both a big part of my success story. Thank you again.
