My partner was referred to the stroke unit in Altnagelvin where he was called for an appointment. At the inception he met with a nurse by the name of Mairead, followed by another nurse by the name of Valerie and two Dr's namely Dr Mansoor and Dr Auburn.
From pre assessment with the nurse right through to consultation with the Doctor we could not praise this team enough. They arranged for full consultation and scans in the same day and everything was explained in words that were understandable to myself and my partner. Valerie herself walked us to the radiology dept. My partner suffered a heart attack in recently and has had many medical appointments, however this team stand out both professionally and personally.
