"Consent, PoA and complaints not being answered"

About: Salford Royal

(as a relative),

We are power of attorney for someone and are concerned that we are not being involved in their care.  Our loved one has had some procedures carried out without our knowledge and we are not aware of any consent being obtained.  Our loved one does not have capacity to make decisions or understand his care and the only health professional who has bothered to get in touch with us is his consultant psychiatrist.  We are concerned about lack of consent and lack of communication with us.

Unfortunately we complained about this via the website and have not heard anything and one week ago today complained via the complaints email address.  We had an email acknowledging receipt but nothing since, despite the generic email saying we would be contacted within 3 working days.  If people's concerns are not valid then bad practice could continue and the legal issue of consent to treatment being bypassed.
