I was delighted to get an MRI appointment as someone cancelled.
I was advised:
- to come early at BT area
- phone the mobile number provided
- takes 1 hr so need to empty bladder as no toilets in ambulatory services.
Called the team on the day at the site of Blood transfusion, who advised to empty bladder if needed. Whilst they will set up and call back.As I work in the hospital, I knew the probable places I could access toilet but as it was a Sunday I couldn’t access them, finally went to A&E area. The service was fantastic. The procedure was well explained.
I would advise:
When I got a mobile appointment on phone - it should also provide the mobile number which we need to call.
Remove any jewellery/ metallic stuff.
Also - tell the people to go to A&E for toilet if facilities unavailable.
Or
Simply put a mobile toilet- like for outdoor music festivals.
