Took a person I support to get blood work done at Motherwell Health Centre. This person has severe anxiety and autism, and hates needles. They were given all the time they needed to settle and ask any questions.
Monica, the practitioner, had taken their blood while reassuring them at all stages. In the 12 years working with this person, this has been the easiest visit for bloodwork I have attended with them. Monica must take all of the credit for this as she was very empathetic and understanding of their needs. They were very relaxed, which is unusual after having bloods taken. Massive pat on the back Monica.
