I was recently admitted to ward 4E during the early hours.
The care I received during my admission was absolutely phenomenal.
The staff were all very knowledgeable, kind, polite and caring. They carried out their duties very efficiently and stayed professional at all times.
Medication and meals were given promptly when due and if I had a problem or a question the staff responded to me very quickly with a smile and caring words.
Unfortunately I can’t name all the fantastic staff members who looked after me as there’s far too many, but I would however like to give special thanks to Mark, Lucy, Claire and all the student nurses who went out of their way to make me feel well looked after.
Mark was very kind and helpful, he went out of his way and brought me a charger for my phone when I broke mine when he didn’t have to. He carried out his job very professionally. He had a great bedside manner which helped put me at ease and made me laugh. I was able to build up a rapport quite quickly as he treated me like a person rather than just another number.
Claire chased up with my doctors to get me a medication prescribed that I needed to help me when I had been waiting a long time and was in pain. I was extremely grateful for her actions.
Lucy was lovely to me and I really liked the way she explained everything to me step by step and also how she was teaching the student nurses how to do certain things.
I was treated like a friend by everyone rather than just a patient, I was cheered up, had cups of tea made for me, ice and water replenished when needed, bed linen was changed when I requested it and messages were passed on to the staff looking after me promptly.
I’m extremely grateful to all the staff for their care and attention.
Everyone who works in 4E is a complete asset to the hospital.
Thank you all very much.
