"Top class treatment every step of the way"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Maternity care Western Health & Social Care Trust / Community Midwifery Services

(as a service user),

Recently I gave birth to my baby boy and received truly exceptional care from Community Midwives, Foetal Assessment Unit, Maternity inpatients and the Labour ward. What could have been a traumatic time, turned out to be not so with the support of the excellent team at the above mentioned services.

The level of expertise, compassion and genuine care shown to me, my partner and son were second to none and I feel thank you will never be enough!

I must mention midwives Michelle and Anne from labour ward, as well as Dr Lisa and Nikki (midwifery support worker) who were truly exceptional; absolute dream team of incredible professionals! It was clear these ladies truly love what they do and I feel I got top class treatment every step of the way; that I wasn’t just another patient to them but truly mattered.

I’m also grateful to the incredible team of community midwives who followed my care at home post-discharge - no question was too silly for them, and they were full of advice and support every step of the way.

I’m so thankful to every person who’s cared for us, and apologies for the names that I forgot with my baby brain. Please know what a true difference you made to my experience, we will be forever grateful.
