About: Borders General Hospital / Paediatrics (Ward 15)

(as a parent/guardian),

From seeing our GP on the Friday morning to discharge on the Saturday afternoon, the care of my daughter could not have been better.

Our GP promptly referred us to ward 15 where we had excellent care from start to finish. All staff on duty showed kindness and compassion. The diagnosis and treatment plan was clearly explained and the staff were happy to answer my numerous questions.

My daughter was always involved.  There were regular checks that both of us were OK. A nice touch that a gift (Lego set) was left while we were asleep. 

Please share this with consultants, the junior doctor, ANP, staff nurses and the HCSW on duty during out stay.

Thank you KLMAES for sharing your experience of your daughter's recent stay in Ward 15.

It is lovely to hear that staff demonstrated Person centred care, involving your daughter in her care as well as showing kindness & compassion. As a child, coming into hospital can be very daunting for them as well as parents so it is nice to hear you, as a family had such a positive experience at a difficult time.

I will share your kind words with the staff, they will be delighted!
