I was taken to the a&e royal derby hospital majors a department by a very lovely, friendly, competent female ambulance crew. Not being familiar with the derbyshire area. I was very reassured by the kindness, care and treatment I received. From the ambulance crew, nursing staff, doctors and consultants at this hospital.

After working as a registered nurse in a variety of setting and posts for the NHS for 40 years I was very impressed with how well the staff worked together to obtain a good outcome for their patients. especially in a challenging environment like a&e. it was apparent that the staff I met were happy working at the hospital. They showed compassion and an interest in their patients and fellow colleagues.

From moving to c area and mau this was evident in all these areas. there appeared to be strong leadership within these departments. with staff all delivering the same good care and values.
