I left hospital with a picc line fitted in January 2024. For the next three months I was given antibiotics nightly by twilight nurses. Originally I had bloods taken twice a week by district nurses, later this was reduced to once a week to change dressing and take bloods.
Both were enjoyable experiences by very happy, knowledgeable, kind and interesting staff.
I was able to obtain treatment at home, this enabled a bed to be freed up in hospitals for use by more urgent clients, I was able to receive the same hospital services at home in my own environment. This was also a more therapeutic treatment that I believe has helped my recovery
"Happy, knowledgeable, kind and interesting staff"
