"The care & compassion given by all staff was amazing"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Surgery (wards 64, 65, 66,& 67) Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as a relative),

My mum was in wards 66 & 49 at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The care and compassion she was given by all the staff on both wards was amazing.

A very special mention to 2 outstanding nurses on ward 66 who were a credit to the ward.

Both staff nurses Grace and Lesley we cannot thank enough for everything they done for my mum.

The NHS are very lucky to have such angel's working for them. Lesley done everything possible to make sure my mum got home to spend her last days with her family and we cannot thank her enough for that.

Special thanks too to the district nursing team for the continuing care of my mum.

Dear memberpy88,

Thank you so much for this lovely feedback. It is very important for our staff to hear positive stories in order that they feel valued and are inspired to always go the extra mile for our patients and families.

I am happy your mums wishes were met and she could spend her valuable last moments at home with her family, sorry for your loss.

I will ensure that I share your story with all staff in wards 66 & 49, including Grace & Lesley,

Thank you!
