"Small mole biopsy"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Surgical Skin Team Outpatients Centre / Dermatology

(as a service user),

Had an appointment at Stirling Royal dermatology to have a birth mark  checked. It had developed one darker freckle / mole which had only appeared a few weeks prior.

It was decided that it should be biopsied for checking. Biopsy was last week in Forth Valley Hospital (approx 2 weeks after initial appt!)

Kirsty took a biospy with the assistance of Laura in the general surgery department. Minor ops. The minor op was over before I knew it. I was out at my car in just 30 minutes.

Kirsty put me at ease when I arrived, explained exactly what would happen during the biopsy, and how long the results would take.
