"Outstanding Service"

My mum attended Perth Royal Infirmary Gynaecology outpatients recently for a hysteroscopy.

We were welcomed by Avril, who settled us in a room and offered refreshments, while chatting with my mum and making her feel comfortable. We were then greeted by Jane, who took time with my mum to explain the procedure and ease any worries. 

Siobhan undertook the procedure alongside Lewis, with both being professional, friendly, confident, personable and nurturing while caring for and examining my mum through an uncomfortable procedure. 

They were supported by the lovely Donna, Lynne and Kelly Anne, the most organised trio, who made sure the procedure went smoothly and my mum was informed and cared for every step of the way. After the procedure, Jane cared for my mum in recovery and couldn't have been more friendly and comforting. 

Throughout the appointment, myself and my mum were attended to and made to feel so comfortable and welcome. 

My mum was very nervous about the procedure and the team could not have dealt with it more positively. The service and care was outstanding, gold standard practice and patient care, from all. 

Service like we received today makes me feel proud and privileged to have access to the NHS and to be looked after by people who genuinely care for others. 

Thank you all for your exceptional care today, you put a very nervous pensioner (and her daughter!) at complete ease and made her as relaxed and comfortable as possible. You are an absolute credit to the service. 🩷
