"It was freezing cold"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Clinical Investigations Unit

(as the patient),

I spent the day in the suite having a lidocaine infusion. Staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for me. My only complaint is that it was freezing cold. Air con blowing down from vents directly onto me. I had 3 blankets but could not heat up. I find it ironic that my pain condition heightens with cold, and I was there for treatment to help.

Dear conditionerkz47

Thank you for taking the time to post your valued feedback following your visit to CIU PRI.

I am sorry that your experience was negatively affected by the temperature of the air conditioning, blowing directly down on to you, whilst your infusion was in progress.

The air conditioning unit is remotely accessed by our estates team, and therefore cannot be altered within the unit. This is something we have previously raised with our estates team.

Please be assured, that on the basis of your feedback, we have already raised this issue again today with our estates team, as a priority.

Thank you once again for your feedback.

Best wishes

Lesley Kram
