"Too much noise "

About: The Maidstone Hospital

Fantastic hospital. Staff top class for care .but the hospital had no understanding or procedure of keeping noise levels down so that patients can recover by actually sleeping . I.personally do not think my review will have any effect because it is easy to disregard this comment. But I was a nurse many years ago and staff were taught to close doors between clinical areas nurses stations etc and bays . There is a total lack of respect for patients mental welfare over recovery . Doubt this will change and astounded nurses carry on on wards to this level of bad nursing. They are totally obviousness to this basic need. Laughing and talking out loud during a night shift should not happen. Please keep it down and shut doors

Dear Janet,

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of your recent experience. I was pleased to read staff were top class for care and you feel the hospital is fantastic, however I was disappointed to note the noise levels affected your recovery for which I apologise. Please could you contact the PALS service using the details below to provide us with further information in order for us to identify the ward you stayed on in order that we may provide this feedback to the ward management team with a view to improving future patience experience.

Kindest Regards,

Sylvia
