About: Paediatrics / Oak Ward

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter has recently been on oak ward recovering from surgery. I cannot fault the empathy, kindness, knowledge and professionalism of the staff on oak ward. They truly are a wonderful bunch of people.

The only thing that does let them down is that they have to provide their service in such an outdated facility in which the lack of space / dated set up does not allow for cohesive service.

Hopefully one day they are able to provide the top care they do in a top facility.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write us via care opinion, we always welcome feedback on how we can improve the service we provide.

I'm so pleased to hear that you and your daughter were so well cared for by all of the staff, we are really lucky to have such a wonderful team here on Paediatrics. I hope your daughter is recovering well and feeling much better.

We are currently having some works done on the unit to try and improve our patient experience and to help our Drs/Staff Nurses and HCAs caring for our Children/young people and their families.

I will make sure I pass on your lovely feedback to whole team here on Paediatrics
