"The most positive experience"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I was recently seen by a midwife named Natasha. It was the most positive experience. As a first-time mum it is a very worrying time and from the moment I rang foetal assessment to I was being seen to and cared for by Natasha, I felt I was truly being listened to and not made to feel that I was wasting anyone’s time.

Natasha put me at ease straight away and helped ease any concerns I had. It was obvious she was having an extremely busy shift but she didn’t allow that to take away from the care she was delivering to myself.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude and thanks for her in this very scary and stressful situation.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and becoming a first time mum. I am really glad to hear that you felt you received comforting care from Natasha, she is a very valued member of my team. It is our top priority that women feel listened to and heard.

Thank you for acknowledging the extreme pressures that our service is under. Im extremely proud of Natasha and the wider team that this did not take away from your recent experience. We endeavor to ensure our families feel safe and supported right throughout their pregnancy journey and beyond.
