What happened was I had a stent fitted on 4 dec last year, totally unexpected no history of heart problems, then I attended the cardiac rehab at Whiteabbey hospital on a Wednesday every week. They brought in various other services dietitians, physios etc and then on a Friday I attended a keep fit health programme I was extremely happy with the care and service provided and one was called Joanne and Roisin.
My initial consultation was with Joanne, she was superb and I was in a very heightened state of disappear and she was very helpful in terms of signposting me for other services included for my MH care. I cant sing her praises enough she was super patience and both Joanne and Roisin over the few months they both supported me through this very long and difficult journey.
The reassurance they gave me was invaluable and I cant thank them enough. I cant fault the service at all. Even though we were on a group of other 10-12 people I felt like I was receiving 1-1 care. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt reassured I could ask any questions. They made arena very easy for us to be able to ask any question. They were superb. I got to meet them on a personal level, felt like they almost became friends, really talk to them about anything. Because of the mental trauma attached to a cardiac event they put my mind at ease at every opportunity.
They were very special professional clearly very dedicated and caring and understanding. They made the cardiac rehab service so unique to me. Excellent service by the cardiac service and particular the staff running.
"Cardiac rehab service ran by some very special professionals"
