All I can say is the nursing staff and the ward was absolutely lovely. They were friendly and kept me at ease and they kept coming up and asking if I’d like tea and a biscuit.
And when the Dr did come he introduce himself and asked where the pain was as I was going in for thumb surgery. I felt very at ease with him and he explained what he was going to do during the procedure and when he actually did he was talking to me all the time because I was awake as I had a local anaesthetic.
I ended up with 4 cortisone injections to help with the pain. The Dr will check up on this again in 6 months’ time.
Thanks to all the staff looking after me-they even all introduced themselves by their name-communication was excellent.
"Lovely staff"
