About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Cardiology (Wards 19, 24, 43a, 43b & 44a) Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Respiratory Medicine (Wards 2, 6,7 10 & 16)

(as a service user),

I was recently admitted to Glasgow Royal Infirmary following a collapse in the street.

I have had very good care, with thorough diagnosis and sensible treatment, especially considering how busy this huge hospital is.

I especially want to thank Dr Mackle, a young member of the respiratory team, who exemplifies all that is best about medical care. Her personable, friendly, yet professional and most articulate care has been an inspirational feature of my stay, and I just wish she was available on prescription! 

I recognise great service when it's given. Chloe is exceptional, and I wish her a hugely successful career. Thank you Chloe.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Care Opinion.

I was sorry to hear you had to be admitted to hospital after collapsing in the street. This must have been a very worrying time for you and your family so to hear the care and treatment you received was to a high standard was very heart warming.

It was also great to hear how Dr Mackle took the time to make you feel welcomed into the department and displayed a caring and compassionate nature throughout your stay.

I have passed on your thanks to Dr Mackle and the team who have asked me to thank you for your kind words. It really means a lot to the staff.

I hope your feeling a lot better and recovering well back at home.
