My wife is receiving palliative care, we were fortunate to have an initial visit by a very caring doctor, they told my wife that she would be cared for at home and was so understanding and patient with her - she is in her 90s
A nurse attended to give my wife a COVID injection. I wasn't there myself but my granddaughter was. The nurse was very rude, and never introduced herself. They walked in, pulled the sleeve of my wife's top up and proceeded to give her an injection. No bedside manner, a couldn't care less attitude, no professionalism whatsoever.
Are these the depths the NHS and local practice have sunk to? We come from an age when the NHS cared for patients. I will pass on my view to the health care body, and my MP. We as a family are disgusted with this nurse's attitude.
But could I also praise another nurse we saw, who was just like the caring nurses we remembered, and we hope our bad experience is a one-off.
