"Attentive Care"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I had our baby in Colchester Hospital having been admitted for reduced movements. From the First Lady we had look after us, to staff in the delivery suite, then the following aftercare on Lexden Ward, they were all second to none. The staff cannot do enough for you and truly are a credit to the NHS and their communities.

I appreciate the difficulty they have when dealing with a large number of people with differing requirements for care but they do not discriminate and are willing to spend time explaining what needs to be done and what they are doing.

A special mention to the delivery team and the midwife who was in charge on night shifts who were absolutely amazing throughout. Child birth is one of the most traumatic experiences I have had but they are a credit to you

All staff who had any involvement in my care I would request are sent this and reminded that they are truly appreciated for the work they do and care they showed me throughout my stay. You really did make a tough experience a positive one for me and one I will never forget for the rest of my life.

Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind words, I have passed these onto the Lead Midwife for Maternity at Colchester Hospital to share with her wider team. It is so good to hear how they had such a positive impact on the experience you all received. I hope you are settling in at home. Many thanks.
