"I felt rushed"

I had an outpatient appointment with gynaecology. I found him to be cold and not very thorough. I felt rushed through giving my history and I was interrupted when I was giving my presenting complaint. Seemed disinterested in what I was going through and just asked a few questions that they thought were important.

I understand they have many patients but they have a certain time for each consultation if they are friendly and listen to patient it can make huge difference without taking much extra time. Also I did say I didn’t think I was pregnant but being a young patient with irregular periods doing a urine pregnancy test could have been safer.

I have seen many consultants in different hospitals who are friendly and empathetic but this was my worst experience. Although I live near Rochdale Infirmary I hope I’m not referred to a gynaecologist here in future.
