About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus

It's 21:24 on 2 Feb '24. I'm sat here, with my wife still alive thanks to you. She cardiac-arrested today, out of the blue, and was dead for 5 minutes. She's only 47 and we have a 3 year old daughter. I was praying to those upstairs to take me instead of her.

You saved her life. I owe you literally our entire families existence and future. I'm sat here exhausted, knowing that you individuals means my daughter still has a mother, I've still got a wife, and she is still around to enjoy it all. I'm speechless.

Dear Steve,

Thank you for sharing your recent experience within our hospitals

At such a traumatic time you are reliant on those around you and I am so pleased that they were there when you needed them the most.

May we take this opportunity to wish your wife a speedy recovery.

Best wishes

Kelly – Patient experience officer
