"Very Welcoming and friendly "

SpaMedica Liverpool offers a fantastic service. After being referred for cataract surgery by my optician I received a phone call three days later and booked a pre-op assessment for the following week. At my appointment the whole team were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful and they described the procedure clearly. I was given eye drops to prepare for surgery and a nice booklet explaining other questions I might have. Amazingly when I went to book my surgery date after the assessment they had a cancellation for the next day. As this was my second cataract operation I was ready for surgery straight away and the procedure went very smoothly. The before and after care was much better than for my previous cataract removal (a large London hospital) and I was given contact numbers in case of emergency and steroid drops to take for a month, they even booked a follow up appointment for me with my optician. A bit of grittiness remained in my eye until the next day and I used sunglasses for a while to readjust to the light but I could see perfectly again. All I had to do was use baby shampoo for a while. I cannot recommend SpaMedica Liverpool highly enough if your surgery is straight forward like mine, all the team at the clinic are brilliant. I would only wait for a hospital appointent if you have possible complications with your surgery. All in all it took nine days from my initial referral to the successful completion of surgery, I'm blown away!
