"The care myself and baby received was second to none"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Wanted to give some positive feedback with regards to the antenatal, labour and postnatal wards based at Altnagelvin Hospital.

The staff are amazing, from the midwife’s to health care assistances to porters.

The care myself and baby received was second to none, and I will be forever grateful to these hard working individuals who never get enough credit.

The team work so hard and are so committed to delivery high quality care to the women and families in their care. It is such a boost for this to be acknowledged.

Hope you and your baby are doing well.

My name is Joanne Daly Support Services Manager responsible for Portering. Thank you for acknowledging the work of the portering team as they sometimes go unnoticed but play such a big part in a patients journey. I welcome all feedback and ensure that it is shared at Team Meetings etc.

Its so encouraging for the team to see that their efforts are commented on by Patients, family members and service users. It also give staff a greater insight on the impact their role may have on a patients journey. Its lovely for this to be acknowledged so positively so thanks for these kind comments.
