"Couldn't have asked for more"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / Trauma & Orthopaedics (Wards 1 & 5) University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I broke my finger playing basketball. Attended A&E and was in and out in 2 hours (Sunday morning). Had an X-ray which confirmed the fracture and was strapped up and a referral made to orthopaedics.

Attended fracture clinic and the issue had not improved so referred to  day surgery. Attended day surgery the next day but unfortunately an emergency came into the hospital and I had to be postponed (this was clearly communicated as a potential issue at the start of the day). Then attended day surgery the following day and had the operation. I've now had follow up appointments with Physio and Fracture Clinic arranged.

Throughout my experience every doctor, nurse, and member of staff was kind, friendly, professional, and supportive. I couldn't have asked for more.
