About: Older People’s Services / Hospital at Home Northern Sector

(as a relative),

I was pleased to have been able to use the Hospital at Home Care Service as I really didn't want to have to go into the main hospital facility.

My daughter first contacted my GP and spoke to the doctor who told us about Hospital at Home Care. I was referred to their care as opposed to going in to hospital.

I was very happy with the team who looked after me from the very start of my illness. The care I received was excellent. All of the nurses and doctors who looked after me were very caring and pleasant and efficient. I would like to thank them all so much for everything that they did for me while under their care.

I believe this service is much needed especially for the elderly as I was very frightened about the possibility of having to go into hospital.

I absolutely agree admission to hospital can be frightening for anyone and treatment at home is a much better option.

Hospital at home aim at all time to prevent admission and treat at home. We will involve families and always update the patients on their ongoing treatment.

As a team we are very privileged to be able to nurse people in their home and as a team thank your for inviting us into your home.

I will pass on your feedback to all the staff.
