"Communication was fantastic"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as a service user),

We attended after our toddler became suddenly struggling for breath. We were seen pretty much instantly in triage (probably took longer to give our details at the front desk) then were taken straight through for assessment. We waited only a few minutes before being seen by a nursing student and then a junior doctor. They listened to us and we felt like they really cared. They took action on her breathing straight away and prescribed medications to help which were given very quickly. Within the hour we had been transferred up to the paeds ward for further assessment.

A&E was clean, efficient and communication was fantastic. It was so so busy and we very much appreciate the care we received when staff are so clearly stretched thin.

Thank you, sincerely

Dear Young lady

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us.

I am sorry to hear your little one was unwell, this must have been a very worrying time for you. I sincerely hope they have recovered now.

I am delighted to hear your experience was such a positive one, especially as staff are working under extremely difficult circumstances at present. I will be sure to share your feedback with the team and this will be very greatly appreciated.

Thanks again and take care
