(as the patient),

I gave birth to my twin boys at Women's and Children's Hospital in Dumfries and Galloway by elective c-section.

I absolutely loved my birth experience, my choices were respected during the whole process by all staff members included and our care by the midwife team for the three days following was amazing. I wanted to specifically name one of our midwives, Suzanne, for her exceptional care as we thought she particularly listened to us, took time to get to know us (even though the unit was extremely busy!) and just overall genuinely cared.

We felt this from all of the midwives we had throughout our stay but particularly felt it from Suzanne.

I am delighted to read your beautiful feedback on your recent birth experience. We do strive to achieve individualised care for families and appreciate that some times there is increased anxieties around certain births so I am glad the team were able to fully support you and provide that high level of care. I will be sure to share your kind words with Suzanne and the wider team as it is always lovely to feel appreciated. I hope your boys are doing well and you are settling into family life with your lovely new additions.
